Frequently Asked Questions
1. What kind of chocolate do you use?
We use gourmet chocolate products produced by Blommer Chocolate Company. Kosher Certification documents are available upon request. Belgian chocolate is used for the solid truffles.
2. What type of ink do you print with? Is it edible?
We don't print with ink. We use FDA approved food dye, which acts like ink in creating the image. The image is 100% edible.
3. How do you print on the Chocolate?
Each chocolate item has a thin absorbent sugar coating, which accepts our FDA approved food coloring. We take your image, photo or logo and center it on the shape you have chosen for your order. We add any text or message you may want to include. Then we load up our trays with blank chocolates and print.
4. Is there a minimum order?
There is no minimum order and we can print as many or as few pieces as you wish. However, each order is subject to a $25.00 set up fee. See FAQ #13.
5. How do I get my photo or logo to you?
You can email a digital image to info@cocoagreetings.com. Hard copy photos, business cards, or logos can be mailed to our office in Bensalem PA. Attention: Rob
6. Can I get a sample or see what my items will look like before I order?
For no charge we can send you a digital image of your item for your approval. We do charge a $25.00 sample fee, per item if you want to see the real thing. This fee helps to cover the freight and production charge.
7. How long does it take to get my order?
Production of your order starts within 3-5 working days from the time the order is approved by you in writing and payment is processed. Then add shipping time. If you have a rush job and need it turned around faster, please contact us. We will try to accommodate you in every way to rush you an order. Additional charges may apply.
8. What type of photo or graphic works best?
The larger the photo the better. We request all images be sent at least 300 dpi in JPEG, GIF, or Bitmap formats and unaltered. You can send us original photos for us to scan if necessary. They will be returned with your order. The better the photo, the better the reproduction. Keep in mind if it looks jagged, dark and blurry it will print that way. Sometimes if you are not sure of the photo, it’s best to send us a few different ones.
9. What types of payments do you take?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards. You may send us a check as well. Checks take 5 to 7 days to clear before your order will be processed.
10. If my photo has several people in it and I want some cut out, can you do it?
Yes. We can crop and fix small imperfections in photos. We can eliminate people in the background and fix minor imperfections to the photo if need be. We take every effort to insure you receive the best possible finished product.
11. What happens if my product arrives damaged?
First we ask you to make a claim with the shipping company and note any damage to the packaging for mishandling. If the product was damaged due to poor packing, we will replace the items at no charge. Prior authorization will be required. You must contact us immediately, within 24 hours to make a claim.
12. How do you ship my orders and keep it from melting during the warmer months?
During warm to hot weather conditions we require all items to be shipped 1 Day or 2-Day Air packed with dry ice/ice packs. All other times of the year when temperatures generally stay under 80 degrees we ship 2 day or ground. It's always best to check on shipping before placing your order.
13. Do you charge a set up fee?
Please check our web site for the items that we charge the fee for. The $25.00 set up fee is charged for small orders. You’ll notice that the set up fee is waived for medium and larger orders.
